Alina Grasmann DE, b. 1989

Painter Alina Grasmann (*1989)  lives and works in Munich and creates in a formidable illusionist-realist technique viscerally immersive paintings. Grasmann's main subject is the interiors and exteriors of places she first heard, read, learned about and later visited in person. Places which were rather imaginative before become alive through her personal experience. The imaginative and fictional quality of every place visited, either in person or through media, is captured in paintings which operate both through a very realist style and surreal quality.

Alina Grasmann studied Fine Art in Munich and Vienna and was Meisterschülerin of Karin Kneffel and graduated in 2017. Her work is exhibited widely in Europe and repeatedly in the USA.
